The Cinque Terre I - Vernazza

We checked in with Sabine (who owns a little wine shop in Vernazza) and saw our cute AIRBNB.

Our own little clothesline!

Once we got settled, we enjoyed some drinks at a little bar with cute yellow umbrellas facing the ocean. We tried Sciaccetra (a special wine made in the Cinque Terre). It reminded us of plum wine.

We ate dinner at another place on the water and ordered seafood spaghetti and tegame alla vernazza (anchovie dish with potatoes, tomatoes, white wine oil and herbs). The anchovie dish was more flavorful and the anchovies tasted fresh and delicious! We had "the wine of the Cinque Terre" with dinner. A white wine made from the the vineyards nearby. We met a Danish couple (Hans Peter and Marget)! We enjoyed talking with them over dinner. They laughed when Cody asked them what language they spoke :)

The locals preparing for vampires...

Paws! Kittens with Courtney!
He was a mean baby!

Travel Tips from Cody: "We're all tourists somewhere"

Vernazza Beach!

We enjoyed gelato at Gelateria Il Porticciolo on the water and it's my favorite gelato so far! We ordered cinnamon which was so delish! It tasted like the cinnamon and sugar mix you put on a hot bagel with butter. We got it again before we left Vernazza!
